Filming in stark black and white, the recently deceased Sidney Lumet brings us cinéma vérité in this 1964 classic. Lumet, who will be remembered at our gala fundraiser on October 22, breaks ground in depicting the wrenching power of Holocaust survivor guilt.
Featured/Fiction/Shorts
Short films, long known as the "calling cards" of young filmmakers, are an increasingly popular, unique art form. This year, the Festival selected 15 short films from the myriad submitted to us. We invited six judges to choose their favorites. At this year's Short Film Competition, you'll screen the winning films, and then you'll have your own chance to vote for a winner! Post-Film Reception for young adults at Finale Desserterie and Bakery, 1306 Beacon Street, Brookline. Sponsored by JetBlue. Your Short Films Competition ticket serves as your admission.
